Francisco Céspedes returns to Spain to offer a tour of concerts in which he will perform songs that have been the soundtrack of unforgettable moments in our lives. The Cuban-Mexican singer-songwriter will meet again with his audience in an intimate atmosphere full of emotion and energy to go over a repertoire full of moving and poetic lyrics in what he promises will be “an unforgettable experience”.
With an unmistakable style that fuses Cuban tradition with contemporary influences, Francisco Céspedes has won over audiences of different tastes, ages and genres who fill his concerts, always different because, he says, “even if I sing the same song, if it weren’t reinterpreting it after 54 years on stage, I’d get bored”.
Although he began his career in the 1980s as part of the group Irakere, an emblematic Cuban jazz and Latin music band, it was not until 1998 that he achieved international recognition.
“Alejandro Sanz saw me in a bar and brought my album Vida loca here, and then Joan Manuel Serrat made sure that people came to discover me. In three weeks I had a platinum record”. Céspedes defends and promotes music and art because “the less culture you have, the easier you are to manipulate”.
